Pussy Riot – “I Can’t Breathe” [Music Video]

The notorious Russian punk band Pussy Riot has released a new song/video entitled “I Can’t Breathe”  The musical style is much different than their work up to this point, in addition to it being their first song in English.

The song is an ode to Eric Garner, who was choked to death by New York City police officers in Staten Island under the suspicion of selling loose cigarettes. His death sparked nationwide protests against police brutality.

The band recorded this song with contributions from several others, including Nick Zinner (The Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and Richard Hell.

The video features Pussy Riot members Nadya And Masha being buried alive in Russian riot police uniforms.
