Upcoming Chicago rapper Mayo has had a pretty huge year thus far, from touring nationally around America with Huey Mack earlier in the year to dropping fire tunes and getting massive soundcloud success on each release. His constant effort and drive as an upcoming emcee is inspiring at the least and he has even bigger moves on his horizon so be sure NOT to sleep on this dude, you will regret it. I had the chance of catching up with dude while he was in Orlando on one of his tour stops, super laid back guy who is sitting on a goldmine of unreleased music, one of the records happen to be “Rock With You” and I immediately became a fan of his movement.
About two weeks back Mayo released a new remix of a track produced by Milo Mill‘s and turned it into his own, bae-friendly, summer anthem titled “Rock With You” that is well worth the listen. The pristine production style of Milo Mills is always spot on, regardless of the track [check his soundcloud out if you’re unfamiliar with his work] but Mayo’s smooth Drake-esce rapping style that implements singing is the perfect flow on top of the bouncy beat. Catchy lyrics on the verse and a hook that’ll be stuck in your head for the next week are what set this commercially-viable record apart from other upcoming emcees. Its mainstream yet it still goes in, now that is hard to do. Listen to “Rock With You” after the jump and listen to more music by Mayo over at http://www.spreadthemayo.com – you can thank me later.
