Busta Rhymes – “Thank You” (feat. Q-Tip)

This song is a breath of fresh air. If you can get past Birdman and Weezy doing their little introduction or whatever, you’ll get a kick of classic Busta & Tip rhyme-for-rhyme flow. This duo has been relatively quiet since signing with their labels, YMCMB and G.O.O.D. Music, respectively. That being said, it is nice to see them getting some shine.

Now, Busta and Tip is not any kind of new friendship. These two have been pals for quite some time. If you don’t believe me, just peep the video for “Oh My God” by A Tribe Called Quest. I also recall one crazy night at The Knitting Factory (when it was still located in Manhattan) at which Busta Rhymes made a surprise appearance at a Q-Tip concert and debuted his song “Arab Money.”

Anyway, this track is super dope and the beat sounds just like classic Q-Tip. Both of these demi-god emcees really flex on this song and show that they haven’t lost their touch. Peep “Thank You” below ↓
